In-Home Evaluations
Words of Hope provides in-home speech and language evaluations for young children, ages 0-5. The evaluation is designed to assess your child’s current skills and determine whether they would benefit from speech therapy. Evaluation appointments are 60-90 minutes, and typically include a combination of the following:
Review of developmental history
Parent interviews
Questionnaires
Professional observations
Formal assessments (if possible)
After the evaluation, parents can expect a comprehensive report including professional recommendations and a treatment plan with therapy goals.
Speech Therapy with
Words of Hope
Whether your child has yet to say their first words, seems to be behind on meeting their developmental milestones, or struggles to speak clearly, I can help! At Words of Hope, I use toys, games, and your child’s interests to build communication skills that are useful in your child’s daily life. Speech therapy will help your child:
Learn pre-verbal skills like imitating, pointing, and vocalizing
Communicate their wants and needs
Develop social play skills
Reduce frustration, tantrums, or negative behaviors
Speak clearly and produce speech sounds accurately
I am committed to supporting you just as much as I support your child. Every speech therapy session includes parent coaching and practice activities to help you feel confident and reassured about helping your child communicate at home.
Ready to get started? Here’s how it works:
-
Share a little about your child, your concerns, and what support you are looking for. This helps me understand your family’s needs before we connect.
-
I will reach out to discuss your concerns, answer questions, and recommend the best next step for your child and family.
-
Together, we will schedule either an initial speech and language evaluation or a parent consultation to better understand your child’s communication skills and goals.
-
You will complete the intake paperwork, and an initial evaluation will be conducted. After the evaluation, we will review recommendations and create a personalized treatment plan to support your child’s communication.

one-on-one Parent Coaching
Every parent wants the very best for their child. I’m here to help make that feel a little more achievable and a lot less overwhelming.
At Words of Hope, parent coaching sessions are designed to give you the knowledge, support, and practical tools you need to help your child grow each day. Whether you have questions about developmental milestones, want to be proactive about your child's communication skills, or are navigating a new diagnosis, I’m here to make you feel like the expert.
Our goal is not to add one more thing to your plate. It's to empower you with realistic strategies that fit your family's life and create meaningful progress.
Each time we meet, you'll learn the same evidence-based strategies that speech therapists use, and you will discover how to naturally incorporate them into the routines you're already doing every day.
As a parent, you are your child's first teacher, biggest advocate, and greatest support. I’m here to help you feel confident in that role! Contact us to schedule a parent coaching session today.
Learn With Less®
Do you ever get overwhelmed with the number of toys cluttering your house, and the constant pressure to buy more in order to help your child develop new skills? Yup, me too!
When I discovered Learn With Less®, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of to benefit the families I work with. The idea is that you can support your infant or toddler’s development using what you already have around the house.
Learn with Less® classes are fun and interactive for both you and your child. We’ll use the 4 Pillar Framework (play, talk, sing, move) to address the 4 main areas of your child’s early development (cognitive, communicative, motor, and social/emotional). You’ll leave with practical strategies to take home, and a sense of community with like-minded parents.
